Fortnitemares is dropping into Halloween Horror Nights with a new scare zone at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood. The Fortnite-inspired experience brings Freaky Fields, the Battle Bus, familiar characters from the game’s annual Halloween event, and new HHN-exclusive additions to both coasts in 2026.
The Orlando version begins August 28, followed by Hollywood on September 3. Both events run on select nights through November 1, 2026.
What happens in the Fortnitemares scare zone?
Guests will enter Freaky Fields, a Halloween-inspired living battleground overtaken by a threatening force. Universal describes an ever-changing, high-stakes environment where guests try to escape and claim victory.
The Battle Bus will appear in the zone alongside returning Fortnitemares characters and characters created exclusively for Halloween Horror Nights. Unlike a haunted house, this is an outdoor scare zone that guests encounter while moving through the event.
Fortnitemares joins a growing 2026 lineup that includes the two-coast Evil Dead Burn haunted house and Stranger Things 5 at Halloween Horror Nights.
Halloween Horror Nights dates, locations, and tickets
At Universal Orlando Resort, Halloween Horror Nights takes place at Universal Studios Florida on select nights from August 28 through November 1. It’s a separately ticketed event, and single-night prices vary by date.
Universal Orlando also sells multi-night admission. The official ticket page currently lists the Rush of Fear Pass starting at $229.99 plus tax and the Frequent Fear Pass starting at $274.99 plus tax. Prices and availability can change until purchase.
Universal Studios Hollywood hosts its event on select nights from September 3 through November 1. Its official sales page lists General Admission, Universal Express, R.I.P. Tour, Day/Night, After 2 P.M. Day/Night, Early Access, Frequent Fear, and Ultimate Fear options. Guests should choose a date on the official ticket page to see the current price for that night.
One admission covers the full Halloween Horror Nights event at the selected resort, including its scare zones. Fortnitemares doesn’t require a separate ticket inside HHN.
Fortnitemares merchandise
The crossover also has a merchandise collection featuring a graphic T-shirt, decal set, and acrylic collectible piece. The items are available at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood, with online sales beginning July 23 at 9 a.m. Pacific through ShopUniversal.com.
The acrylic piece is part of the same collectible format used for other 2026 HHN releases, including the Stranger Things 5 Halloween Horror Nights collection.
Universal says more Halloween Horror Nights experiences will be revealed.
