The video, shared by the resort today, shows the majestic big cat enjoying some enrichment time away from guests — a reminder of the incredible animal care programs that happen behind the scenes at the park every day.
Bakso is one of several Sumatran tigers that call Disney’s Animal Kingdom home. The species is critically endangered, with fewer than 400 individuals remaining in the wild. Disney’s conservation efforts, through the Disney Conservation Fund, have contributed millions to protecting tigers and their habitats worldwide.
On a cold Florida day like today — with temperatures dropping enough to close water parks across Orlando — this heartwarming content is exactly what we needed.
You can see Bakso and the other tigers at Maharajah Jungle Trek in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
