Disneyland Paris set designer Olivier Dusautoir sketched the Main Street décor in black and white before it took shape. His drawings featured thorns, looming shadows, twisted forms and trees turning monstrous. Serge Kypriotti and Matthieu Robin were part of his creative team. The palette draws on animated scenes, combining green, purple, turquoise blue, grey and black with Halloween orange. The Villains were chosen for both their shared visual style and their popularity with guests.
At Main Street Station, Tiffany-style stained-glass windows introduce the Disney Villains theme. Victorian-style banners extend the design behind the station and along Main Street, U.S.A. Around forty pumpkins carry a design created for the festival.

Candles and lamppost details
More than 130 candles appear across the décor, with around sixty on the roof of Main Street Station. Some bear carvings of Goofy and Donald, as though Main Street’s residents were competing. Lighting designer Adrien Mourey worked with Dusautoir to give the candles their nighttime glow.
The lampposts reward a closer look. Blue, green and turquoise highlight stylized acanthus leaves shaped into Mickey Mouse heads. Paper-cut-style medallions depict ten Villains, including Dr. Facilier and the Queen of Hearts. Their silhouettes draw inspiration from artists sometimes found near Main Street Motors.
The Disney Halloween Festival opens on 26 September.
