Creating the Pixie Dust effect for Disney Wonders’ two character chandeliers took prototypes, technical trials and collaboration with French lighting specialists.

Walt Disney Imagineering Paris developed the fixtures with Maelis, the contemporary lighting division of Manufacture de France. Its workshops are near Toulouse. Maelis also worked with local specialists in photographic printing, engraving and lighting integration.
On September 22, 2026, Disney Wonders opened at Disney Village. The shop celebrates Disney heritage through an elegant, contemporary design, with the chandeliers as signature features.
The challenge involved balancing light, technology and visual storytelling.

Corinne and Frédéric Colombo lead Manufacture de France. The family-owned company’s decorative lighting heritage dates to 1939. Through Maelis, they combine traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation in bespoke chandelier design.
