SeaWorld San Diego will debut Ocean of Dreams, a new nightly summer drone show, on May 22, 2026. The 12-minute show will use 600 synchronized drones above the park.
Guests visiting during Summer Spectacular will see the drone show nightly through August 9, then on weekends through September 7.
The Drone Show
Ocean of Dreams is designed as an ocean-inspired nighttime show with aerial formations, lighting effects, and a soundtrack. SeaWorld said the show will feature sea otters, sharks, dolphins, and an orca as part of the display.
SeaWorld San Diego Park President Tyler Carter said the park is bringing its ocean story to the sky and described the show as a way to inspire guests to protect the ocean.
The Schedule
The show begins Friday, May 22, 2026, and runs nightly through August 9, 2026. After that, it shifts to a weekend-only schedule through September 7, 2026.
SeaWorld said the show is part of its broader Summer Spectacular lineup at the San Diego park.
Summer Spectacular
The summer lineup also includes a parade, stunt shows, character entertainment, nighttime offerings, and the return of the Summer Concert Series on select Saturdays.
For guests planning a summer visit, the key date is May 22, when both Ocean of Dreams and the new Shark Encounter open at SeaWorld San Diego.
