Disney Parks is marking Black History Month with its annual “Celebrate Soulfully” programming at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort — and one of the biggest highlights kicks off this weekend at Disneyland.

Celebrate Gospel Concerts at Downtown Disney — This Weekend

The Celebrate Gospel concerts return to Disneyland Resort for 2026, with a new home: the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage. The concerts run across two weekends — February 20–21 and February 27–28 — and do not require park admission to attend.

Grammy Award-winning gospel music performers headline both weekends: Bishop Hezekiah Walker performs on February 21, and Yolanda Adams closes out the series on February 28. Community choirs from across Southern California also take the stage each weekend.

Black Heritage Trail and Specialty Food at Disneyland

A brand-new heritage trail of dynamic displays has debuted across Disneyland Resort, honoring influential Black leaders, artists, and thinkers from the past and present. Tributes include Leah Chase at Tiana’s Palace, Martha Blanding on Main Street, U.S.A., and Floyd Norman on Buena Vista Street, among others.

Limited-time specialty dishes crafted to honor Black heritage are available through March 2:

  • French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl — spicy honey-glazed fried chicken with baked macaroni and cheese and collard greens, at Tiana’s Palace (mobile order available)
  • New Orleans BBQ Shrimp — Cajun battered shrimp with cheesy polenta, onions, peppers, celery, and a New Orleans BBQ butter sauce, at Lamplight Lounge – Boardwalk Dining

Walt Disney World: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and More

At Walt Disney World, TV personality Toya Johnson-Rushing helped kick off Black History Month festivities at Magic Kingdom, serving as the grand marshal of a special cavalcade alongside Mickey Mouse and her daughter, Reign Rushing. They also rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and visited Princess Tiana.

At EPCOT, the International Festival of the Arts is spotlighting Black artists for the second year in a row. The Disney on Broadway Concert Series features several powerhouse performers, including Jelani Remy (The Lion King), Anastacia McCleskey (Tarzan — new to the lineup this year), Kissy Simmons (The Lion King), and James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin). For the full Concert Series guide, see our EPCOT Festival of the Arts coverage.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Viva Gaia brings a Caribbean street party to Discovery Island, and the Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe perform in Africa throughout February.

Limited-time food at Disney Springs through February 28:

  • NEW: Soulful New York Cheesecake Pop — cheesecake ganache layered with graham cracker ganache enrobed in 65% dark chocolate, at The Ganachery
  • Wakandan Mousse — coconut mousse, guava gelée, and chocolate sablé, at Amorette’s Patisserie

The Disney Springs Art Walk: A Canvas of Expression features works by Black artists including Ernest Shaw, Nneka Jones, Nardstar, Marci Swett, and Brandon Hill.

Celebrate Soulfully programming runs through the end of February at both resorts. The Celebrate Gospel concerts at Disneyland do not require park admission.
