Disney’s America 250 lineup now includes a June 29, 2026 ABC special, a July 3-4 multi-platform broadcast, and Fourth of July weekend offerings at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
For park guests, the practical part is the timing: Soarin’ Across America is already open at EPCOT, Disneyland gets its version July 2, and both resorts have patriotic entertainment planned around the holiday weekend.

The broadcast
Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness airs Monday, June 29, 2026 from 8-10 p.m. PT and ET on ABC. Disney says the two-hour primetime special is hosted by 20/20 co-anchor Deborah Roberts from Walt Disney World Resort and national correspondent Will Reeve from Disneyland Resort.
The company is also setting up a 24-hour broadcast running Friday, July 3 through Saturday, July 4. Disney says the coverage will span ABC, Disney+, Hulu, National Geographic, FX, Freeform, ABC News Live, ESPN, ABC Owned Television Stations, and affiliates.
David Muir leads the event, with Diane Sawyer, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Michael Strahan, Juju Chang, Byron Pitts, Deborah Roberts, Linsey Davis, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and more ABC News talent included in the lineup.
Park offerings
At Walt Disney World, the source list includes patriotic lighting on Spaceship Earth, special performances from Voices of Liberty, the Electrical Water Pageant, themed decor along Main Street, U.S.A., character experiences, and limited-time merchandise, food, and beverage offerings.
Disney also lists flag retreat ceremonies, performances by the Dapper Dans and Main Street Philharmonic, and an extended run of the Portraits of Courage exhibit honoring post-9/11 veterans through Fourth of July weekend. Disney Springs is also expected to have festive decor and special performances from the United States Air Force Band of the West.
At Disneyland Resort, the West Coast lineup includes special flag retreat ceremonies honoring veterans, themed decor along Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park and Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure, limited-time entertainment, and specialty food and beverage offerings.
Fourth of July weekend at Disneyland Resort is also set to include a pre-show fireworks tribute ahead of World of Color, the return of the Celebrate America! fireworks spectacular, patriotic attire for the Dapper Dans, military band performances, and a celebratory cavalcade.
Soarin’ timing
Soarin’ Across America is part of the same anniversary push. The reimagined flight is now open at EPCOT, and Disney says it debuts Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Disney California Adventure Park.
The attraction spotlights more than a dozen United States locations, including the New England coastline, Mount Rushmore, Washington, D.C., New York City, and Grand Canyon West. Walt Disney Imagineering created the update, with a new arrangement of the Soarin’ score by composer Bruce Broughton.
At EPCOT, National Geographic photography and trivia have also been added to the queue. Disney says the new Soarin’ Challenge Across America uses National Geographic-inspired facts while guests wait to board.

Military families
Disney is also using the America 250 campaign to continue its Blue Star Families work. The company points back to its previously announced $2.5 million commitment for military families and communities across the country.
That support includes the 25th Disney and Blue Star Books event at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., where Disney says more than 500 military children and family members attended. The company also says it has donated more than 370,000 books to military families over the years.
Planning note
This is a broad Disney company celebration, so not every item is a park offering. The biggest guest-facing dates are June 29 for the ABC special, July 2 for Soarin’ Across America at Disney California Adventure, and July 3-4 for the broadcast and Fourth of July weekend entertainment.
Anyone visiting EPCOT or Disneyland Resort around the holiday should still check the official entertainment calendar before locking plans, since showtimes, flag retreat timing, and park hours can change by date.
