Disney shared a new June 6, 2026 look at Jenifer Lewis visiting Tiana’s Joyful Celebration at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis as the Disney Princess Tiana exhibit continues its run through January 3, 2027.
For families, the update is simple: the exhibit is open now, it includes Mama Odie as part of the interactive experience, and Disney says the traveling exhibit is headed to more museums after Indianapolis.

Jenifer Lewis at the exhibit
Lewis, who voiced Mama Odie in Disney’s 2009 film The Princess and the Frog, toured the exhibit and met families during the visit. Disney’s press note said Lewis is featured in the interactive experience reprising Mama Odie, bringing what the release called a bit of special spice to the exhibit’s New Orleans celebration.
Lewis also reprised the role for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Her visit connects the museum exhibit directly back to both the animated film and the Disney Parks attraction that expanded Tiana’s story in the parks.
The exhibit

Tiana’s Joyful Celebration opened March 7, 2026 at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The exhibit was produced by Walt Disney Imagineering and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and it is billed by the museum as the first exhibition dedicated to Disney’s Princess Tiana.
The story puts families in 1928 New Orleans, where Princess Tiana and her krewe are preparing for a Mardi Gras season parade. Guests can help decorate floats, design costumes and masks, make gumbo, learn a dance, and explore exhibit areas tied to Tiana’s community, teamwork, and New Orleans traditions.
The museum’s media kit says Tiana appears through animation on screen rather than as a live costumed character. Other interactive areas include Eudora’s Chic Boutique, a food-themed float with Louis, a Tiana inspired throw activity, and a puppet show that retells Tiana’s adventure from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to the parade setup.
Tour plans

The Indianapolis engagement runs until January 3, 2027. After that, Disney and the museum say Tiana’s Joyful Celebration will travel to 12 other museums nationwide.
Named future stops include the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus, Ohio, The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and Industry, The Children’s Museum of Atlanta, and Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa, Florida. Disney’s press email also listed Los Angeles, Everett, Washington, and additional locations as part of the five-year tour plan.
Planning note
This is not a Disney theme park offering, so it is not tied to park admission or Lightning Lane planning. It is a museum exhibit with its own schedule, hours, and ticketing through The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.
Guests planning around the Indianapolis run should use the museum’s current operating calendar before visiting, especially since the exhibit remains open into early January 2027 before the tour moves on.
