Annette’s Diner reopens in the first quarter of 2027, Disneyland Paris confirmed on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The Disney Village restaurant has been closed for months for a full refurbishment, and Disney shared the first real details of what returns.

The update came inside a wider look at how Disney Village keeps changing through 2027. The first phase started in December 2023 with Brasserie Rosalie, and it’s now near its final chapter.
What is changing inside Annette’s Diner?
The kitchens get bigger, using space from the former currency exchange office and takeaway area. Disney says the work creates a better working environment by repurposing that space.
The dining room is being redesigned from the flooring up, with new booth seating in pink, blue and vanilla yellow inspired by 1950s car interiors. The service counter gains a more enclosed frontage in chrome and steel, lit with pastel tones that read like neon. Above it, an impressive bar canopy featuring the words “Diner” and “Welcome” and a totem will be installed, taking inspiration from classic American googie architecture.
The original jukeboxes are being fully restored and repositioned as decorative wall features. A bespoke wallpaper adds pastel burger, milkshake and jukebox motifs. Ben & Jerry’s still presents the restaurant, with a stronger indoor presence this time. The terrace reopens too, with new paving and newly planted trees.
“Our aim is to surprise guests with a restaurant that stays true to the spirit they love, while feeling more comfortable, more modern and fully refreshed,” said Keith Rector, Senior Manager, Creative Art Direction at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris.
What else opens at Disney Village first?
Casa Giulia opens by the end of 2026 at the Disney Village entrance, a short walk from the cinema and the World of Disney shop. Groupe Bertrand runs the two-story Italian restaurant, which seats around 260 guests plus a 120-seat outdoor terrace. Giulia Express handles quick service and takeaway with its own 40-seat terrace, serving pizza by the slice, focaccia, pastries and ice cream.
Before that, the new Disney Wonders boutique opens on Tuesday, September 22. Vapiano closes out 2026 with a full interior redesign, a new upper-floor children’s play area and refreshed terrace, finishing in early 2027.
When does the cinema work start?
The Pathé cinema, open since 1997, begins a phased refurbishment in September and stays largely open throughout. Ora-ïto designed a new façade, and the plan adds recliner seating, upgraded projection, a Pathé Café, a reimagined Häagen-Dazs area with a terrace and a Pathé Games area. Auditoriums get refurbished in batches for a 2027 finish.
Disney also confirmed the next stage focuses on the South Block, across the main thoroughfare from the work already underway on the North Block. That work begins in 2027, and Rainforest Cafe closes permanently by the end of 2026.
Planning a trip before the holidays? Build in a backup dining choice for the evening, since several venues here move in and out of service through the works. Sports Bar & Lounge stays open, and new festive decorations land across the area from November.
