Disney Adventure World has planted more than 1,500 trees and hundreds of thousands of shrubs to improve the guest experience while supporting local ecosystems. On Friday, May 22, 2026, Disneyland Paris highlighted specific plants that provide food for pollinators for the International Day for Biological Diversity. The resort says the landscaping choices serve two jobs at once: creating an immersive atmosphere for visitors and enriching biodiversity.

The planting initiative focuses on species that offer nectar and pollen at key points in the year. Rhododendrons and roses line Adventure Way, contributing to the area’s visual identity while also providing a food source for insects. Flowering cherry trees and serviceberries stand out for their early blooming. From the start of spring, they offer an essential resource when pollinators need it most.

Japanese pagoda trees are also part of the plant mix. Disneyland Paris says the trees naturally produce flowers rich in nectar, attracting a wide diversity of insects. The resort also notes that the trees are drought-resistant and help enrich soil by fixing nitrogen, which supports plant growth.

The resort released photos showing how the plantings are being folded into the park design as Walt Disney Studios Park continues its transformation into Disney Adventure World. The landscaping is meant to elevate the guest experience without separating the visual design from the resort’s environmental goals.

The article also points out a small botanical detail for guests who like looking closer: prunus, serviceberries, and roses all belong to the Rosaceae family. That same flowering plant family includes fruits such as strawberries, apples, plums, and pears. Disneyland Paris says serviceberry fruits are particularly popular with birds.

For park guests, the update is less about a new ride or restaurant and more about the atmosphere surrounding the expansion. The plantings are part of how Disney Adventure World is being shaped as a more immersive park environment, especially around Adventure Way and the resort’s newer areas.

Disneyland Paris did not announce changes to operating hours, admission, or guest rules as part of the landscaping update. The resort also did not give a full timeline for any additional planting phases. The main takeaway is that the current landscaping is already being used to support both show design and local ecosystems.

Shark Take: This is a quiet update, but it says a lot about how Disney Adventure World is being built. The best theme park environments work before guests even think about them. If the flowers, trees, and sightlines make the park feel richer while also supporting pollinators, that is the kind of detail most guests will feel before they ever read the plant list.
