What time does D23 Day at Disneyland start?

D23 Day activities begin at park opening on August 13. Guests entering either theme park may receive a complimentary Mickey Mouse ear hat featuring the event logo, along with a commemorative guide. Both are available while supplies last.

At Disneyland Park, the Disney Legends Cavalcade steps off at 1:30 p.m. The special procession will feature 23 characters and select Disney Legends.

When is Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party 2026?

Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party takes over Disney California Adventure on August 13 before continuing at Downtown Disney District from August 14 through August 16.

The Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Block Party begins at 10:30 a.m. and travels through Hollywood Land with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and other Disney Jr. characters. “Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Live” will bring Mickey Mouse and friends to the Hollywood Backlot Stage for a dance-focused show.

Sofia the First will appear in Hollywood Land wearing new attire from “Sofia the First: Royal Magic.” Families can also learn to draw Pepper, Sofia’s puppy-unicorn, at Animation Academy.

Other activities include the Disney Jr. Let’s Play Craft Zone and “Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties,” where children can decorate cupcakes with the animated superheroes at the Hollywood Backlot Stage. Do you need a park ticket for D23 Day?

Yes. D23 Day festivities inside the parks require valid admission and a theme park reservation. Disney lists standard park admission and a reservation as the requirements for the in-park festivities.

Anaheim residents can purchase a special one-day ticket for either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park beginning July 16. The ticket is valid for visits from July 20 through October 8, including D23 Day on August 13.

The Downtown Disney portion does not carry a stated park-admission requirement. Its three-day schedule includes DJ dance parties and family crafts throughout the day. Select Downtown Disney locations will also serve special menu items from August 1 through August 16.

Guests presenting a D23 Event badge or D23 Gold Membership Card can receive special discounts at participating locations. Disney says the offers will be available only at participating locations, with a D23 Event badge or D23 Gold Membership Card required for the discounts.

If August 13 is your park day, have admission and a reservation ready, arrive near opening for the limited ear hats, and plan around the 10:30 a.m. block party and 1:30 p.m. cavalcade.
