Universal Studios Japan posted a company notice on August 28 responding to coverage in Nihon Keizai Shimbun (Nikkei) about a possible park expansion.
On the English company news page, Universal Studios Japan wrote: “A report concerning the expansion of our park appeared today in the newspaper Nihon Keizai Shimbun. The information contained in the report was not based on any announcement made by our company.”
The company also wrote: “When there are matters to disclose, the company will provide information in a timely and appropriate manner.” It closed with: “We remain dedicated to enhancing the park, creating unforgettable moments, and providing even greater excitement for our guests.”
Universal Studios Japan has not announced expansion plans, investment figures, or a construction timeline. The August 28 notice is a response to the Nikkei report, not a confirmation of those details.
