Disney Parks Blog published a Come Sit with Us dinner recap from California Grill on Friday, September 4. The restaurant sits on the top floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. The post spells out the $99 prix fixe, the new Honeycomb Fizz cocktail, and how fireworks viewing works for dinner guests.

What the $99 prix fixe includes
California Grill serves a prix fixe dinner at $99 per person with three courses: an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. The blog compares the format to Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest Restaurant. Deluxe wine pairings, signature cocktails, and meal enhancements are available as add-ons. The enhancements named are Tiger Prawns, Lobster Tail, and Scallops.
The menu labels the three courses market inspirations, chef’s journey, and sweet creations. The blog says the team refreshes the menu multiple times a year with new dishes and drinks. Dinner opens with Warm Onion-Fennel Focaccia, served with extra virgin olive oil and salted butter.
Dishes named in the post include the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli, the Surf and Turf Roll, Pan-roasted Carrot Gnocchi, Seared Market Fish, and Cioppino. The ravioli comes with an organic mixed mushroom ragoût and a tomato-fennel broth. Lead Sushi Chef Jose runs the sushi program, and the blog says you may find a Hidden Mickey on your plate.
Desserts named are Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, Flourless Chocolate-Espresso Cake, Blueberry-Goat Cheese Cheesecake, and Celebration of Citrus. Each dessert lists a recommended dessert wine pairing on the menu.
Honeycomb Fizz is new to the menu
The Honeycomb Fizz is a new specialty cocktail created by California Grill bartender Matt for the refreshed menu released in June. It’s made with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, house-made lemon-honey syrup, peach nectar, and Domaine Carneros Brut Rosé. It’s served in a coupe.
The post also names the Sonoma Maple Bourbon Old Fashioned. That one uses Redwood Empire Pipe Dream Bourbon, vanilla maple syrup, Angostura bitters, and Luxardo maraschino cherries with an orange twist.
Fireworks viewing comes with dinner
Dining at California Grill always includes Happily Ever After fireworks viewing, weather permitting. When the Magic Kingdom show is about to start, guests head out to the restaurant’s private outdoor viewing area. The blog says guests can carry their wine out to the balcony, and the show’s audio plays on speakers outside. The post puts the show at 18 minutes.
If dinner wraps up before showtime, guests are still welcome to come back to the restaurant to watch Happily Ever After.
How arrival works
Guests check in for their reservation on the second floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Once the table is ready, a dedicated elevator takes them to the top floor. The dining room looks out over Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom Park, with Cinderella Castle and Space Mountain in view.
