Universal Kids Resort Reveals Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club

Universal Kids Resort has shared its first dedicated look at Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, one of the themed lands coming to the new family-focused park in Frisco, Texas. The official Instagram reel, posted Wednesday, April 15, 2026, previews a splash-heavy Minions area centered on a rivalry between the Yellow Minions and their Purple counterparts.

The reel itself keeps the tease short, but Universal’s previously released official land details help fill in what families can expect inside Bello Bay Club when Universal Kids Resort opens in 2026. That includes a water battle setup, kid-friendly rides, themed snacks, retail, and a chance to meet Kevin or Stewart at the Bello Bay meet and greet.

What Universal revealed about Bello Bay Club

According to Universal Destinations & Experiences, Bello Bay Club is built around “the mayhem of a spirited water battle” where guests can grab a water blaster and step into the action. Universal also says the land’s story puts guests in the middle of the chaos between Yellow Minions and Purple Minions, which gives the area a clear identity beyond just being another generic splash zone.

Two named ride experiences are part of that lineup. The first is Bello Bay Cruise, a boat ride that starts as a calm trip with the Yellow Minions and turns into a splash battle when the Purple Minions crash it. Universal’s reel frames it as a relaxing cruise the Purple Minions refuse to leave alone. The second is Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby, which Universal describes as a competition that spins out of control. In the reel, Universal explains the Yellow Minions are simply trying to play a round of golf while the Purple Minions refuse to let them.

Food, merch, and Minion encounters are part of the land too

Beyond the rides, Universal has tied the land to a full set of supporting experiences. Bello Bay Boutique will sell themed merchandise built around the two Minion teams, while Bello Bay Bites will serve Minion-themed snacks. Universal also says the land will include additional playful Minion moments and surprising water effects spread through the area. In the reveal reel, Universal frames the land as packed with splashing, pranking, and Minion chaos, so the water effects are built to be interactive and reactive, not just decorative.

That matters because Universal Kids Resort is being designed specifically for families with younger children, not just thrill-seekers. A land like Bello Bay Club needs more than one ride to carry its theme, and Universal’s official description suggests this one is being built as a full play-and-explore zone instead of a single attraction pad.
