Universal Kids Resort has shared its first dedicated look at Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, one of the themed lands coming to the new family-focused park in Frisco, Texas. The official Instagram reel, posted Wednesday, April 15, 2026, previews a splash-heavy Minions area centered on a rivalry between the Yellow Minions and their Purple counterparts. The caption teases the “splashier side of Universal Kids Resort,” and the clip confirms what families can expect: water blasters, two named rides, merchandise, snacks, and a Minion meet and greet.

What Universal revealed about Bello Bay Club
Universal is framing Bello Bay Club as a full Minions water battle, not a single attraction. In the reel, a Universal creative spells out the setup directly: “You’re walking into yellow versus purple Minions, so we’re having a showdown at the Bello Bay Club.” Guests grab a water blaster and step into the middle of it, with the Yellow vs. Purple rivalry running through rides, snacks, shopping, and water features across the land.
According to Universal Destinations & Experiences, the area is built around “the mayhem of a spirited water battle.” The reel explains the creative thinking behind it: “Folks love Minions, so let’s bring them to Frisco, let’s bring them to the Universal Kids Resort, but not only that, let’s bring the purple Minions with them, and let’s put them in a competition, and let’s let our guests be part of that competition.” That turns the land into a themed conflict instead of a generic splash zone.
Two named ride experiences anchor the lineup. The first is Bello Bay Cruise, a boat ride Universal describes this way in the reel: “We thought it was just going to be a nice relaxing cruise here at Bello Bay with the yellow Minions, but the purple Minions have other ideas.” The second is Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby, a competition that spins out of control. In the reel: “The yellow Minions just trying to play a game of golf. Purple Minions are not going to let them do it.”
Food, merch, and Minion encounters are part of the land too
Bello Bay Club pairs the rides with a full set of supporting experiences, which keeps the theme alive between attractions. Bello Bay Boutique will sell themed merchandise built around the two Minion teams, letting guests pick Team Yellow or Team Purple. Bello Bay Bites will serve Minion-themed snacks. Universal also says the land will include additional playful Minion moments and surprising water effects spread through the area.
Character meets are confirmed too. The reel tells families, “You’ll be able to meet Kevin or Stuart on vacation,” naming two of the most recognizable Minions from the Illumination films. Universal sums up the vibe of the land near the end of the clip: “There’s plenty of water, there’s plenty of splashing and pranking and fun in this land.”
That matters because Universal Kids Resort is being designed specifically for families with younger children, not just thrill-seekers. A land like Bello Bay Club needs more than one ride to carry its theme, and Universal’s description suggests this one is being built as a full play-and-explore zone instead of a single attraction pad.

This closes out Universal’s current Kids Resort mini-series
This Bello Bay Club reel is the latest land-specific spotlight in Universal’s ongoing Kids Resort video rollout, following earlier previews for Jurassic World Adventure Camp and the DreamWorks-themed lands ahead of the Texas park’s 2026 opening. The reel itself sets that framing up front, with a Universal creative calling the park “seven incredible lands” built around “the stories that you love, the characters that you’ve fallen in love with, but now in real-world experiences.”
Universal Kids Resort is the company’s first theme park designed specifically for families with young children. The Frisco park will feature seven themed lands in total: Isle of Curiosity, DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp, DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar, Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club, Jurassic World Adventure Camp, DreamWorks’ TrollsFest, and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom.
This Bello Bay Club reel stands out because it gives the Minions land its own focused spotlight after earlier videos covered the park more broadly or grouped multiple lands together. For families tracking what is actually inside the park, this is the clearest official Bello Bay Club update Universal has posted so far.
