Disneyland Paris is dressing up Central Plaza with new Disney character topiaries at Disneyland Park. The first one is already in place: a living sculpture inspired by the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. Guests walking through the heart of the park can catch it now.

A second topiary is on the way. Over the coming weeks, the resort plans to install one inspired by Tick Tock Croc from Peter Pan, which will round out this new addition to the green spaces around Central Plaza.
What is a topiary, and why does it matter here?
A topiary is a living sculpture, made by carefully trimming shrubs or plants into figures and shapes. At Disneyland Paris, these horticultural pieces are part of how the parks bring their themed worlds to life. The new Central Plaza additions are meant to add color and a fresh photo backdrop in one of the busiest spots in the park, the open hub right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
If you have walked Central Plaza before, you know it is the spot everyone passes through on the way to each land. New character topiaries give guests one more reason to stop and grab a picture, and they fit the park’s push to deepen the themed feel of its spaces. Fans who track small touches across the Disney parks will recognize this as the kind of detail that rewards repeat visits.
Who made the topiaries?

The project came out of a collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, the Horticulture team, and the Entertainment Workshops. Virginie Debray, Producer at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, said the teams worked hand in hand on the landscaping and the designs so they would “truly do justice to the Disney Characters.”
That mix of Imagineering, horticulture, and workshop talent is what lets the resort pull off pieces like this. Debray framed it as a way to “sprinkle just a little more magic into our guests’ days.”
What guests should know
The Cheshire Cat topiary is on display now, so it is something to look for on your next walk through Central Plaza. The Tick Tock Croc piece does not have a confirmed install date beyond “the coming weeks,” so it may not be in place yet when you visit. Disneyland Paris has not announced whether more characters will follow this pair, so for now the lineup is these two. Anyone planning a trip can fold this into the same stop where they catch castle views and hub photos.
What to know: two new Disney character topiaries are coming to Central Plaza at Disneyland Park, the Cheshire Cat is up now, and Tick Tock Croc arrives in the weeks ahead.
