Universal has finally announced the dates of this year’s annual garage sale; no longer keeping Passholders on pins and needles, Universal Orlando Resort posted to its Annual Passholder Facebook page earlier this week the official announcement for the Universal Orlando Resort Garage Sale.
If you’ve never heard of this event before, buckle up – and give your wallet a lot of emotional support, because it’s The Big One. Any fan of the merchandise that regularly gets stocked at Universal Orlando Resort is going to want to be there for this event; from merchandise spanning major franchises like Harry Potter, Marvel, Jurassic Park, Illuminations and Dreamworks films, and countless more, the Universal Garage Sale is a veritable free-for-all of merchandise that they’re trying to close out at exceptional prices.
This event is perfect for anyone with a theme park fan in their life; the holidays are just around the corner, and now is the chance to stock up on the gear they probably already love to shop for in the parks! Deep discounts can be found on all the items featured at Universal’s Garage Sale, and have included in the past specialty items like boxed collectibles, Loungefly backpacks, toys, sneakers, shirts, and almost every kind of theme park brick-a-brack you can imagine.
Reported to be held from November 16th – 18th in the team member parking garage, which its original location – and while hosting it inside a soundstage was a nice change of pace, it’s good to have it back where it belongs!
The garage sale will be open to passholders with valid annual pass and photo ID on November 16th (7 AM – 7 PM), 17th (7 AM – 7 PM), and 18th (7 AM – 12 PM). And while you did just read it, it bears repeating: don’t let the first two days fool you! The final day of the sale closes early on the 18th, at 12 PM, so be sure to get there on time if you intend to go on the 18th!
While it’s not yet determined exactly what sort of merchandise will be present at this year’s garage sale, there’s no doubt that there are going to be some incredible deals! But if you can’t be the first one in the garage on the first day, don’t worry! Usually the early bird gets the worm, but with the Universal Orlando Garage Sale, even the late birds get some grub! As an annual passholder who has experienced the final hour of the final day of some of Universal’s past garage sales, the goodies obviously may not be as abundant as they are on the first day, but there will still be plenty to pick from, and no matter when you go, you’re sure to find some good stuff! So don’t worry about whether not not the place will be picked clean by the time you’re able to go; in past events, Universal has had plenty of merch to stock the tables with, right up to the end.
